hip Apollo, has partnered with local social enterprise TakeCare Supply to provide distribution services free of charge.
Amidst a global pandemic, healthcare workers face dire conditions with shortages of medical-grade personal protective equipment (PPE). To alleviate this pressure, a team of Ontario entrepreneurs came together to launch, TakeCare Supply, a Canadian social enterprise that manufactures evidence-based reusable masks intended for non-health care workers with essential jobs. Since launching, TakeCare Supply has since sold 50,000 reusable masks across North America.
Ship Apollo will be providing its distribution services free of charge to TakeCare Supply to ensure families and communities across the globe have access to reusable protection against COVID-19 without further exhausting medical supplies.
This partnership marks the second initiative by Ship Apollo in working with local communities and businesses to help navigate the tumultuous times ahead. With closures of all non-essential businesses, Ship Apollo is working to provide assistance where it can to ensure these businesses can make a smooth transition to an e-commerce model.
